Mausio is a German DJ and producer guided by instinct rather than trends. Growing up in the Ruhr area far removed from club culture, he discovered electronic music in 2010 through Skrillex. In 2012 he began producing on his own, officially launching the Mausio project in 2014. Early club shows and support from established artists quickly brought him attention within the German electronic scene.
His breakthrough developed organically through clubs and major festivals such as Parookaville and Bootshaus, as well as viral tracks like “Krustenf!cker,” which surpassed 60 million streams. In total, Mausio has accumulated over 150 million streams, largely outside traditional industry structures. Choosing independence early, he founded his own label in 2018 before signing with Warner Music at the end of 2019.
The major-label period provided financial stability and large-scale productions but gradually distanced him from club culture and his original raw sound. In 2022, Mausio left Warner, founded his independent label Credos 9, and regained full creative control.
After a period of exhaustion and depression, a turning point came in 2025. Mausio paused touring, began therapy, and rebuilt his relationship with music with a renewed focus on physical, instinct-driven club energy. Today, his sound emphasizes intensity, honesty, and the shared experience on the dancefloor. Rather than chasing algorithms or mainstream success, Mausio aims for respect within the scene and a deep, lasting connection with his audience.
